Mercedes-Benz has launched the new CLS 350 BlueEfficiency at a price tag of Rs of 67.67 lakh ex-showroom Delhi. It is powered by a V6, 3.5-litre petrol engine producing 306PS of power at 6500rpm and a peak torque of 370Nm between 3500-5250rpm. The car accelerates from 0-100 in 6.1 seconds and attains a top speed of 250kmph which is electronically limited. Transmission duties are taken care by the 7G-Tronic automatic.
The new Mercedes CLS 350 will take on its competitors like the Audi A7 Sportback and the BMW 5 Series GT priced at Rs 64 lakh and 64.3 lakh respectively, ex-showroom Delhi.

Pune: Mercedes-Benz India today unveiled the all New CLS 350 BE. The new CLS-Class combines scintillating design with exclusivity and sportiness. With bold aggressive design language, elegant silhouette and opulent material and equipment, the world’s first four-door coupe has yet again redefined luxury.

Individuality, Design and Innovation
The New CLS 350 remains as spectacular as its predecessors, combining luminous design with top notch exclusivity and sportiness. The exterior of this German beauty conveys aggression and dominance with its elongated front and its governing radiator grille. With a body that gracefully boasts of its sleek lines and shapely contours the New CLS-Class demonstrates its supremacy over others. The muscular rear end with its wide shoulder line appends to the appearance, interpreting the athletic character of the New CLS. The sporty aura is a combination of the prevailing shoulder line that develops from the heavily contoured wheel arches and wide LED tail lights drawn well into the sides sweeping around the rear end. The design of the lights rightly delineates royalty on the road. From the side and from the front, the car is sculpted to rise and glide likes a powerful machine, emanating its lively, sporty presence.

Lightweight construction and aerodynamics: important contributions to Efficiency
As a part of the BlueEFFICIENCY measures used in the New CLS-Class, The Intelligent lightweight construction plays a decisive role thereby making this car the first vehicle from Mercedes-Benz to have frameless, all-aluminium doors. These are made from deep-drawn aluminium panels with extruded sections, and in comparison with conventional steel doors, are some 24 kilograms lighter. Apart from the doors, the bonnet, front wings, boot lid, parcel shelf, various support profiles and substantial parts of the suspension and engines are all made of aluminium.
Aerodynamics play an important part in the outstanding efficiency of the Mercedes-Benz CLS. Although the new model is wider than its predecessor and thus presents more frontal area to the wind, it was possible to reduce wind resistance by up to ten percent. This is thanks to the Cd value of 0.26, which has been improved by 13 percent.
