Chevy Cruze Diesel coming in soon

Chevy Cruze Diesel

The Chevrolet Cruze has flagged the fortunes of a resurgent General Motors in the US and the very fact that GM has once again become the top manufacturer is proof enough of this. The Cruze is currently available in choice of only a gasoline engine and also a 6 speed automatic transmission. However, come 2013, GM says that they would be bringing in an oil burner for the Cruze. It is noteworthy that outside US, GM has got a cranker of an oil burner for the Cruze with 200 Hp of power and which can do 0-60 mph in only a scant 7 seconds. Moreover, this turbodiesel engine gives in excess of 50 mpg, overshadowing the Jetta TDI’s 48 mpg figure.
Whilst most of its competition comes only in the auto guise, the Chevy Cruze is being offered with an option of both auto and manual transmissions. Also the bringing in of the diesel variant will ensure that Chevrolet have many things to attend to and one of them would be the influx of diesel loving customers. However, this isn’t going to happen any sooner as plans for the Chevrolet Cruze diesel would only be underway till 2013. it is noteworthy that only Honda doesn’t have a diesel powerplant in its arsenal to take on the competition. The Cruze Eco is also a very popular thing on the sales chart figures for mid size sedans. Most likely, in continuation with the nomenclature trend of ECO, GM would be labeling the Cruze D as ECO-D. Come on GM, we are awaiting the launch of the Cruze D.
