Jaguar XKR V8 Engine



Jaguar sports cars have a repute for combining athletic high performance with effortless cruising comfort. Nothing exemplifies this dual grapheme more clearly than the XKs 5.0-litre AJ-V8 engine. Now in its third generation this proffers not only enormous power but also great efficiency by integrating the very latest engineering including spray-guided direct injection (SGDI) and dual independent variable cam timing (DIVCT). All variants of the Jaguar XK use the six-speed ZF automatic gear box with steering wheel-mounted paddles to check the Jaguar Sequential Shift function for greater driver control. In the XKR-S the transmission has been retooled in line with the increased power and torsion to optimize upshifts and allow for the increased top speed.

In the latest Jaguar XKR, the cabin has been freshened with a host of new trig materials including ebon soft-feel pigment for the electric switches, gloss black conclusion to the centre console and phosphor blue halo clarification and ambient lighting. New veneerings, colour combinings and headlining choices allow owners to create a cabin ambiance exactly matching their requirements.
